Hemitheconyx is a Eublepharid genus endemic to the African continent. The genus consist of only two species.

Hemitheconyx caudicinctus (Duméril, 1851)

Distribution: Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Mali, Nigeria, Senegal and Togo.

Hemitheconyx taylori Parker, 1930

Distribution: Ethiopia and Somalia.
